Paddy Mehigan – Partner
B.Comm, F.C.A.
A Fellow of Chartered Accountants Ireland, Paddy Mehigan is the founding partner of P.D. Mehigan & Co. Prior to setting up the practice in 1995, Paddy trained with Reynolds McCarron (Ernst & Young) and has over 40 years’ experience working with small and medium sized businesses and advising clients in relation to value maximisation strategies, as well as providing high level audit, taxation and financial advisory services to clients across a range of sectors.
Paddy has amassed considerable experience in dealing with financial institutions and Revenue.

Jim Hornibrook – Partner
B.Comm, F.C.A.
Jim qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1989 and is a Fellow of Chartered Accountants Ireland. Jim became a partner of P.D. Mehigan & Co. in 1998.
With a wealth of experience over the past 25 years, Jim is committed to building a positive relationship with all clients and to providing a personal and professional service across all sectors of business.

Paul Hogan – Managing Partner
F.C.C.A
Paul joined the firm as an Audit Senior, having been admitted as a member of Association of Chartered Certified Accountants in 2004, having trained in CHK Partnership.
Paul was made partner in the firm in 2016. He has a vast experience in dealing with clients across wide ranging sectors and currently manages an expanding portfolio of clients including, sole traders, partnerships, SMEs and both audit and audit exempt companies. Paul has an excellent relationship with his client base, ensuring they receive the best possible service.

Ronan Murphy – Audit Partner
B.Comm, F.C.A.
Ronan Murphy is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants Ireland. He qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 2008, having joined P.D. Mehigan & Co. in 2004 as a trainee, before being made Partner in 2020.
Ronan is primarily involved in the audit, accounting, taxation, and advisory side of the practice. Ronan has an in-depth knowledge of current auditing and accounting issues and has spent his career to date working closely with owner-managed businesses and offering them the benefits of his knowledge and experience of business over his years in practice.

Margaret Feehely – Audit Director
BSc Accounting, F.C.A.
Margaret is a graduate of University College Cork having obtained a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants Ireland. Margaret originally joined P.D. Mehigan & Co. in 1999 where she worked and trained as a Chartered Accountant. In 2006 she left to join Quintas, where she joined as an Audit Senior before being appointed Manager in 2009. Margaret returned to P.D. Mehigan & Co. in 2019 as Audit Director.
Hilary O’ Sullivan – Audit Director
B.A, CPA
Hilary joined P.D. Mehigan & Co. in 2017, and is a graduate of University College Cork, having obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Irish and History. Hilary is a member of CPA Ireland, having qualified in 2011.
Hilary has extensive financial accounting experience as well as a background in auditing. She has worked with clients from a variety of industries and sizes, from SMEs to larger companies. Areas of expertise would include Audit Compliance, Accounts Preparation, Personal and Corporate Taxation, VAT compliance and Company Secretarial.
Denise Garrett
Payroll Manager
Denise is a qualified Accounting Technician who has been working as part of the payroll team in P.D. Mehigan & Co. since 2000. She is responsible for Irish and UK weekly, fortnightly & monthly payrolls for small, medium and large businesses, varying in employees from 1 – 150 in each. She deals with social welfare queries, personal taxation, PRSI, Benefit in Kind (BIK), expenses, tax free payments, termination payments, and redundancies. Denise calculates and returns all taxes and submits Payroll Submissions to the Revenue Commissioners.

Liz Buckley
Accounting Assistant
Liz has been working as part of the team in P.D. Mehigan & Co. since 2017. Liz trained as an Accounting Technician and heads up the bookkeeping department, providing back-office support to businesses that allows their owners and staff to focus on their core business. She has previous bookkeeping experience from working in the hospitality sector over a long number of years.
